PROXIMITY PROBES & GENERATORS
Proximity Probes (Generic)
These probes are not VDO products but they are good quality and cost effective replacement parts. They are sold with a six month warranty. (Please note that this warranty does not cover physical damage or moisture damage due to faulty plug kits).
These are available in the following lengths with four spade pin connectors:
19.8mm, 25mm, 35mm, 90mm, 115mm
2171 Series VDO (Continental) proximity probe
Available in the following lengths with 4 round pin connectors:

19.8mm proximity probe VDO part number 2171-20002111. This probe can be paired with the 1324 Tachograph (Cassette Type) on Canbus Vehicles. It can also be used on Canbus Vehicles that have the TSU 1391 Tachograph Simulator instead of the 1324 Tachograph.

25mm proximity probe VDO part number 2171-20002311. This probe can be used on Volvo Trucks as a replacement for VDO part number 2171-20100310 (Please do not remove the flat washer). This probe can also be used on Mercedes Benz Actros, Axor and Atego trucks with or without a 1324 Tachograph.

4 Pin Pulse Generator
Fits onto the mechanical Speedometer drive at the rear of the gearbox. The speed pulse harness connects to the 4 pin pulse generator.
In-Line Pulse Generator
This unit is ideal as a replacement generator for Isuzu vehicles. It can be set up as an 8 pulse per revolution for the larger Isuzu Trucks or as a 4 pulse per revolution for the smaller Isuzu trucks and Isuzu bakkies. This unit has a 5.0m cable built into it.
Speed Pulse Calibrator
These can be used to correct the calibration of most truck Speedometers that have a fixed (non-adjustable) calibration.
